This site is about Mateusz Józef Hartwich, a Poland-born historian living in Berlin / Germany. Mateusz studied at the European University “Viadrina” in Frankfurt (Oder) on the German-Polish border.
He initiated various cross-border projects and participated in numerous conferences on European toppics. He works as interpreter, journlist and project manager. His latest activities were an international conference about the Oder river as an axis of Central Europe and the creating of an independent Institute for Applied History. At the present he's prepearing his PhD thesis on the history of tourism in Silesia, were he comes from.
